Katie Schaffer is the director of organizing and advocacy at Center for Community Alternatives, which focuses on community-based alternatives to incarceration and policy advocacy to reduce reliance on incarceration. Before that, she was the New York State Organizer for JLUSA and coordinated the statewide #FREEnewyork campaign for bail reform and pretrial justice, which won a historic victory in April 2019.
