Rai LaNier

Rai LaNier is one of the original co-founders and current executive director of Michigan Liberation.

Her organizing background spans immigration, child & elder care / caring economy, and ending mass incarceration. At Michigan Liberation, she has served as organizer, field director, Wayne County director, and development coordinator. As a proud and fierce abolitionist organizer, her work focuses on building grassroots power with people directly impacted by the criminal legal system to reimagine public safety and accountability.
